Vegetables and Grains Prone to Soft Rot

These are the vegetables that have been reported to be affected Pectobacterium and Dickeya Species previously in the Erwinia genus.

  21. Pumpkin
  22. Cayenne Pepper
  23. Maize
  24. Eggplant
  25. Tomatoes
  26. Sugarcane
  27. Millet
  28. Cardamon

The soft rot bacteria would also affect stems causing black leg and stem wilt and stem rot. Apart from Vegetables, Grains and Ornamentals, they have also been reported in Fruits.
