The incumbent’s areas of research will entail translational HIV B-cell immunology work. This work
is a collaborative effort between various partners in the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI)
Network aimed at informing the development HIV vaccines. Specifically, the work will include
characterization of B cells and isolation/characterization of novel anti-HIV monoclonal antibodies.

Required Academic Qualifications and experience


i) Undergraduate degree in biological sciences, biomedical sciences, molecular biology,
biotechnology or related fields
ii) Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft applications
iii) At least one year experience in molecular biomedical research
iv) He/she must be registered with Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians
Board (KMLTTB).
